Painting with Light Practical Night

Camera Club Live Blog

Tonight's meeting is officially under way. We're blogging as the meeting is taking place. Once we finish general business, we'll begin a Painting with Light practical night.

Digital Photography Practical Night

We have given the group four Painting with Light challenges to accomplish before the end of the night. The Challenges are as follows:
1. Write you name with light.
2. Capture a Light Beam.
3. Use White Balance to alter the colour of the light.
4. Create Rim Lighting around your subject.

Below Left and Right: Chris and Richard waste no time getting started and seem happy with their initial results. It's Nikon vs Canon respectively… this could get ugly.

Above Left: Karen has the right attitude.  Above Right: Dale prefers to have all his ducks in a row before jumping in.  Below: If this stuff was easy everyone would be doing it.

  2. I agree with Richard. The challenges were a good idea. Great to see people really giving their cameras a workout. Only way to improve. Good work Nola, and credit to everyone who participated.
